Behavior is everywhere.

A thorough understanding of behavior can benefit every aspect of your life. Behavior impacts how you manage your team and hire new people, and your personal relationships.

Is there anyone in your life you’ve had continual frustrations with? Maybe it’s a sibling, child, or in-law? You might feel like you’re spinning your wheels and not getting anywhere. After a while, this annoyance surfaces in every encounter, making each meeting more upsetting than the last.

There’s a way to end this cycle. Behavioral awareness allows us to see not only why our behaviors clash so strongly, but also a resolution that works for both parties.

The first step is understanding your own behavior. Are you inclined to control everything? Do you lean towards perfection? Taking our ProScan Assessment is a great way to gain valuable insight into your behavior. Once you’ve taken the survey, one of our rockstar team members will walk you through the results and explain what each trait means. As they walk you through, it’ll become clear which traits are causing you to clash.

Once you identify what’s causing your disagreements, you can find a solution. Different traits come with different communication styles. Maybe your styles just don’t match up, yet, you can learn to understand how others communicate to avoid future conflict. Learning about the different traits and communication styles we all use will greatly improve your interactions with others.

For example, if you value boundaries you’re less likely to ask for help until you’ve attempted to solve the problem yourself first. Someone that likes to be helpful may think you’re purposely excluding them from the activity. Simple misunderstandings like these can frequently cause significant problems.

When we have an understanding of behavior we can identify our differences and clearly communicate intentions to both parties in a way they can understand. This resolves tension, improves relationships, and puts us all on a better path.

Ready to improve your work and home relationships through behavioral awareness? Let’s get started!
